President

His passion is for disciples to encounter God deeply, be equipped in His truth, and empowered into their gifts and callings in the Kingdom of God. 

Dr. Tracy Nicole

Chief Academics Officer

PhD, Statistics, UC Santa Cruz; ThD and MMin, Global Awakening Theological Seminary; MS/BS, Applied Mathematics, SJSU. Dr. Holsclaw has published nearly a dozen peer-reviewed research articles and was part of a doctoral research group with her key mentor at UC Irvine. She developed and teaches an MA theology program.

Dr. Dan Griffiths

Faculty Chairman

Faculty Chairman of Global Christian University; Instructor, D. Min., Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, CA; M.Div., Golden Gate Seminary; B.A., San Jose State University. 48 years of pastoral ministry in Milpitas, CA; 30 as a lead pastor. Dan’s personal passion is to train and prepare the next generation for the coming great revival and harvest of God.

Pastor David G. Sell

President Emeritus

Emeritus President of Northern California Bible College (until 2022) and Founding pastor of Pleasanton Community Church. MA in Higher Education, SJSU; ThB, Theology, NCBC; BA Psychology, SJSU. Pastor Sell has been in pastoral ministry for the past 45 years. Pastor David’s passion is to help students fully appreciate the magnificent stories of the Bible by making them simple to understand, profound in content, and filled with life-changing applications.

Dr. Wayne Mancari

Doctor of Ministry in Leadership from Regent University; MA in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary; MA in Biblical Studies from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary; BA in Bible from Central Bible College; Lead pastor at Cornerstone Assembly of God, North Chesterfield, VA (1988 – 2009); Director of Branch Sites, Cathedral of Faith (2009-present). 41 years of pastoral ministry, 22 as lead pastor.

Tamara Lowe

Excutive Director of the Business & Ministry Program

PhD, Organizational Management, Liberty University (in process) ; Master’s, Southwestern Christian University (OK). Tamara Lowe is recognized as one of the world’s most successful speakers, educators and consultants, having trained over 4,000,000 people, live and in person, in more than 105 countries.

Through her work at Kingdom Builders Academy, she has trained more than 200,000 Christian communicators (authors, speakers, ministers, influencers and entrepreneurs) in over 130 nations to build global brands and succeed as thought leaders in today’s world.

Rev. Berin Gilfillan

Instructor 

Doctor of Social Leadership, Omega Graduate School (in-process); Master’s in Communications, Regent University; Bachelor’s in Communications, University of Michigan. Berin studied graduate-level Missiology at Fuller Seminary under the tutelage of Dr. C. Peter Wagner. As a missionary in Nigeria, Berin Gilfillan founded the missions agency Good Shepherd Ministries, International (GSMI) in 1991. In 1995, GSMI created the International School of Ministry (ISOM), the largest video Bible training program in the world, with at least 25,000 sites in 150 nations and using 113 languages. Trained as a television producer, Berin worked with Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke (1986-1990) and subsequently with many other teachers, pastors, and business leaders to develop video training programs for Bible schools, community development training, and economic empowerment. He was ordained in 1990.

Rev. Lisa Gilfillan

Instructor

Doctor of Social Leadership, Omega Graduate School (in-process); Master’s in Organizational Leadership, Regent University; Bachelor’s in Anthropology, University of Michigan. Lisa Gilfillan is the co-founder of the International School of Ministry (ISOM), the largest video Bible training program in the world. She serves as the overseer for the ISOM’s educational program. Trained as a teacher, Lisa also has started children’s schools in Jos, Nigeria; Calimesa, California; and Ontario, California.  She was ordained in 1984.

Candice Reardon

Instructor

MSocSci (Health Psych); Hons Psych. Psychology Researcher (>15 publications in the field of psychology and public health). Candice served with her husband as youth pastors (2 years) and then on their church’s eldership team for 8 years. She has been involved in counseling, inner healing, and deliverance ministry for the past 15 years. Candice is an intercessor who loves helping others discover the joy and power of prayer.

Pastor Ernest B. Gentile

Founder & President Emeritus

In Memory of: Founder & President of the college (1971-2012), Senior Pastor of Christian Community Church, Prophet. MA, Fuller Theological Seminary; BA, Whitworth College, UW; SJSU; ThB Biblical Studies, NCBC; Diploma, Bethel Temple School. He had 59 years of pastoral experience, was a prophet, and authored of numerous books on prayer, prophecy, worship, and apostles.

Message from The Faculty Chairman

Dr. Dan Griffiths

Global Christian University was founded with a commitment to blend the Word of God with the power of the Holy Spirit.
Forty-nine years later we stand proud of our graduates who pastor churches, serve as associate pastors, function as lay-leaders, or
simply work the ministries of the local church.

When young leaders arrive with fresh vision to reach their generation, our job is to install sound biblical instruction, while continuously fueling their flame! In addition to the younger generation, many of our students are midway in life, now feeling the call to tool up for the years ahead; perhaps a second career in ministry awaits them.

We also believe that God is calling His Church into a fresh worldwide revival, requiring a vast supply of workers for the awaiting harvest. However God chooses to call our students—either into churches, businesses, missions, or home Bible studies—our goal is to teach them to live out God’s word, while being equipped in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Over the last 49 years, Global Christian University has served the needs of students from hundreds of churches and various denominations. We also serve a growing network of “distance” students located throughout the United States and abroad. Some of our most dedicated learners are presently incarcerated in the California prison

system; these men and women recently came to know the Lord and are now systematically studying the Bible. It is our privilege to invest in these true servants of Christ.

In the last several years we added five San Francisco Bay Area satellite locations. Our faculty brings to the table well over 100 years of pastoral experience, along with a strong academic grounding.
