General Epistles
Hebrews is a book with an unknown author that most likely was in the same circles as Paul. Then the General Epistles are a group of seven New Testament letters—James, 1 and 2 Peter, 1, 2, and 3 John, and Jude—written to Christians in general rather than to specific churches or individuals. These writings address the challenges faced by early followers of Jesus living under the Roman Empire, including persecution, social injustice, and the threat of false teachings. The epistles emphasize practical Christian living, urging believers to trust in God’s provision and to work for the benefit of others.
