Pastoral Epistles
The Pastoral Epistles are three New Testament letters—1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus—traditionally attributed to the Apostle Paul and addressed to his protégés, Timothy and Titus. These letters are distinctive because, unlike Paul’s other epistles addressed to entire congregations, they are directed to individuals entrusted with pastoral leadership. Written near the end of Paul’s ministry, they offer practical guidance on church organization, leadership, and the maintenance of sound doctrine

The short letter to Philemon tells the story of a Christian slave named Onesimus. Paul illustrates how the moral vision of social hierarchies, such as the one between slave owner and slave, are dismantled in Christ.
